CRL lab. 20.055, Ground Floor
Our nickname for this instrument is the AVG400 although the formal model name is an AVIII HD 400 and should be listed as such in any publication.
This is a 2-channel Bruker AVIIIHD 400 nanobay instrument running TOPSPIN 3 equipped with:
- 5 mm z-gradient BBFO probe (multinuclear with 19F)
- 60-position SampleExpress robotic sample changer
It operates in "open-access" mode under automation and provides routine 1D and 2D experiments (including 1H, 13C, DEPT, COSY, HSQC) for organic chemistry.
It was funded as an instrument upgrade by the EPSRC as part of the Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Synthesis for Biology and Medicine.
